João V, הגיבור, שחי חיי עושר עם משלוחי זהב מ ברזיל, השתמש בארמון זה לצידיו ולפגוש את אהובתו הסודית, האחות פאולה, נזירה מהמנזר המקומי של אודיבלס. כדי להדגים את ההיסטוריה הייחודית הזו, יש אריחים מצוירים בארמון, הממחישים סצנה אדירה של המלך והנזירה. הארמון עבר שיקום ושיפוץ מלא בשנת 2011 ולכן נהנה מכל הנוחות המודרנית לרבות חדרי רחצה חדשים, חלונות חדשים, הסקה מרכזית, wifi ועוד. ישנו גם בית צמוד עם ארבעה חדרים הכלולים במכירת הנכס. ארמון זה שוכן בתוך בית משותף, עם חדר כושר ובריכת שחייה, כמו גם גנים מרהיבים ובקתת הציד. לאוהבי גולף, יש מסלול גולף במרחק הליכה מהארמון.
