El Mirador de La Gomera - The complex El Mirador de La Gomera is really a residential complex but that's not to say that people don't rent their apartments but they're mainly rented on a long term basis. The complex is built on two levels, with the lower level having its own pool and some apartments having views across to La Gomera, hence the name of the complex and the upper level on the complex has another separate. There are shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the complex and you're also only a couple of minutes walk away from the promenade that leads over to Playa Paraiso onwards to La Caleta and further. Overall, the complex is a nice design, it's secure with locked entrance doors and has some nice garden areas as well. Callao Salvaje - The Town Although Callao Salvaje has a couple of hotels, it's mainly a residential area and has quite a few long term residents. The town itself has a good selection of shops, smaller supermarkets, bars and restaurants and if you can't find what you need in the town, then the larger town of Adeje is just 5 minutes up the road. The beach, Playa de Ajabo, was totally refurbished during 2011 and 2012 and reopened in 2014 and, although a volcanic sandy beach, which for some reason some people aren't keen on, is a great beach with sun-beds and parasols and the sea is quite calm thanks to a water break which was built during the beach refurbishment.
