Buntingford is situated approximately 30 miles north of London and 17 miles south from Cambridge on the A10 road (there is a bypass). The town was originally one of the major stops on the coaching routes in the 18th and 19th centuries and features a number of interesting buildings. Local amenities include various independent shops, two supermarkets, Monday market, health centre, community centre, swimming pool, schools for all ages and recreational facilities. The larger towns of Hertford, Ware, Royston, Bishop's Stortford and Stevenage are all within approximately 15 miles radius and all have stations with rail services into London.
