Location Marche countryside is less known than the Tuscan one, but just as beautiful and fascinating, dotted with numerous small towns and villages with typical red stone dominating the area. Urbino is certainly the best known town, home of Rafaello Sanzio, a famous university town. There are many cities in the area famous for their universities, identifying the region as a pole of culture renowned nationally and internationally.
