Supermarkets and a wide range of restaurants and bars are only a 10 minute drive away, though you can also find a few bars within a 15 minute walk. Leave the busy town and within minutes you are in the hills. A windy road leads you around some corners, followed by a country road of 0.8 km. that guarantees that the last circle around the property is one of very calm and little traffic. Privacy and the gorgeous feel of the campo meet you.On the flat side of the land, you find the old farmhouse which the current owners have reformed 15 years ago. Their love for the authenticity shows. Living outside most of the year, you will find yourself in between grapes, pool, the shade of trees or the barbecue: a gem for lovers of the Andalusian campo! This land is fenced and bordered by an arroyo; a little stream for approximately 2 months in the year. The steep side of the land consists of olive trees, and is what provides the property its privacy and protection against wind. The house is on one floor and exists of a porch, a small lounge with fireplace for the winter evenings, a small office, a bathroom with shower, a kitchen with dining area and log burner, and 2 bedrooms that are surprisingly spacious too. One of the bedrooms opens onto the pool area. The pool was originally an ´alberca´, or water deposit for agriculture. It is registered as pool, and a lovely spot. You will find an outside toilet/shower room, as well as easy parking for 2 cars - but up to 5 in case of visitors. Water comes from 2 sources: the own well, and the community well shared by all neighbours of the hill range. This rustic gem is for lovers of « the real thing », while still being close to Malaga. Cártama is situated at the heart of the Guadalhorce valley, at the front of two small sierras and surrounded by thousands of citrus trees. It is one of the most extensive towns in the province and being close (17 km.) to the city of Málaga, the airport and the coast, it is a popular location! The village is divided into different communities: Cártama Pueblo, the old town, and Estación de Cártama, which is home to the railway station. The A-357 crosses in the middle. Both places have a vibrant centre, with lots of shops, bars and restaurants! Estación de Cártama not only links the village to the lively city centre of Málaga within 15 minutes, it is also a more and more upcoming leisure area. Cártama is only 15 minutes (16 km) from the city of Málaga and the airport. The beaches of the Costa del Sol (Torremolinos) are a 20 minute (20 km) drive away.
