The original watchtower was built between the 10th and the 11th century as part of a defensive system ordered by the Della Corgna family of Perugia. Year after year, the watchtower was enlarged with new sections and in the 18th century it acquired its current shape, hiding the whole tower inside. The stone walls have been cleaned and brought back to its original splendor, wooden beams have been cleaned and valorized as well as the original terracotta floors.
