Τότε, με την κατάθεση της σχετικής ΑΙΤΗΣΗΣ ΓΙΑ ΕΚΔΟΣΗ ΠΙΣΤΟΠΟΙΗΤΙΚΩΝ στο Τμήμα Πολεοδομίας και Οικήσεως, εκδίδονται τα σχετικά Πιστοποιητικά του Υπουργού Εσωτερικών που αφορούν 4 φορολογικές εκπτώσεις: (α) Απαλλαγή από το φορολογητέο εισόδημα του ιδιοκτήτη ολόκληρου του ποσού των δαπανών, νοουμένου ότι αυτό δεν ξεπερνά το ανεγνωρισμένο κόστος συντήρησης, αφού αφαιρεθούν οι επιχορηγήσεις που έχουν δοθεί για την οικοδομή. Το κόστος θα αποσβεστεί για όσα χρόνια απαιτηθεί. (β) Φοροαπαλλαγή των ενοικίων που εισπράττει ο ιδιοκτήτης μιας διατηρητέας οικοδομής. (γ) Απαλλαγή της διατηρητέας οικοδομής από το φόρο ακίνητης ιδιοκτησίας. (δ) Επιστροφή μεταβιβαστικών τελών εφόσον η οικοδομή ήταν διατηρητέα όταν έγινε η μεταβίβαση και εφόσον η συντήρησή της συμπληρώθηκε μέσα σε 8 χρόνια από την ημερομηνία μεταβίβασης, σύμφωνα με την τελευταία νομοθετική ρύθμιση που έγινε το 2014
