In his factories, he built modern canteens and day care centers for the welfare of the workers, also instituting sick pay, pensions and lifetime pensions for older workers. In other words, when the State had not yet imposed on entrepreneurs the provision of means of survival for workers, D. Cayetano Feu already proceeded in this way with his workers, in a spirit of philanthropy and unprecedented benevolence.
