Sundays are normally very busy as Spaniards come to the coast to bathe in the warm water and breathe the fresh sea air - there is a fantastic authentic atmosphere here. The beaches of Santiago de la Ribera such as El Castillico, Barnuevo and Colón are certified as high quality beaches. From Santiago de la Ribera you can take a ferry to La Manga where you can swim in both the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea. You can also cycle if you want to explore La Manga.
