The Gers is a rural region of SW France, known for its rolling hills, covered with sunflowers in summer, its friendly people and of course its food. There is no mass tourism. You will find a gentle but not isolated way of life and plenty of ducks! Auch and Condom are 20 minutes away by car. You can enjoy the River Baïse by hiring a boat, walk along the Pilgrim Route to Compstela, take in a round of golf or maybe some fishing. Auch is south of this property, but about the same distance as Condom. It is situated along the River Gers and is a fantastic place for trying authentic Gascon cuisine. It is a vibrant city with a bustling market every Saturday. The best way to reach the region is by air to Toulouse (100kms). There are direct low cost flights from a number of UK airports.
