 Balsicas is a small town close to the motorway from San Javier to Murcia. There is a train station and bus service making it an ideal place to live to commute to other parts of Spain. The town itself has numerous local shops including two supermarkets, chemist, fishmongers, bakers, petrol station and banks. There is also a public medical centre. 
 The town is popular with ex pats for living permanently in this town. The beach is only a 15 minute drive and there are a selection of golf courses including La Torre Golf Resort, Las Terrazas Golf Resort and El Valle Golf Resort being only a few minutes drive away. There is a choice of bars and restaurants.
