This race ready Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Ti Super was built on the basis of one of the 501 Giulia Ti Super which AlfaRomeo built strictly fo rhomologation purposes in order to compete with the model in GT and Touring car championships. Initially a Club racer in Belgium it found it's way to the UK where it was purpose built into a true competitive Lightweight race car. Behind the appearance of an old battle horse beats the heart of a true Thoroughbred. This Giulia Ti Super has been successfully raced for more than twenty years in the UK and all across Europe in the FIA Historic Touring car challenge. It has been a frequent competitior in the popular two men, one hour St. Mary's Cup during the Goodwood revival. It is eligible for many events in the UK including Silverstone, Donnington Park, Goodwood Revival, and abroad at tracks such Zolder, Zadndvort, Nürburgring , Imola and many others. By relocating the up todate plumbed in fire extinguisher and installing a scond seat with harness shhe even qualifies for the Tour Auto. She offers also great fun at Hillclimbs proving that she can be a wolf in sheeps clothes. Dunlop disc brakes with modified stainless steel pistons to front brakes with F1 seals and mica heat shields to allo carbon metallic and other high temperature pads.Twin circuit brakes with with adjustable brake balance and remote reservoirs. I purchased the car from Ben Schuckburgh whe was the managing director at Jaguar specialist CKL Engineering. It was his personal race car with which he competed successfully for several years. I was assured that it had fresh engine and gearbox rebuilt. Tragic family reasons changed the plans to race the car in Europe. It has now been freshened up by a professional race shop in Germany and is race ready with a current FIA Historic Passport Apendix K Period: F - 1962 to 1965, FIA Class CT8 Competetion Touring car valid until December 31st, 2025. Currently located in Germany but registered in the UK and also US duty paid.
