There is only one neighbor and they are away most of the time as they own the food shop in the village . The property has right of way from the main road down to a track that leads to the Bay. This is an area of outstanding beauty, well known for the little coves with beaches where people can swim all year round. The Dark Night Reserve is less than a mile away and the Wild Atlantic Way goes to the Atlantic Ocean with fantastic views, beaches, and resorts . The village of Sneem is about five miles from the cottage and thru mountains that are absolutely gorgeous in the distance, breathtaking and different every time you see them. Sneem is a unique village, full of character and lots of charm with murals painted on many of the houses and shops by a local artist. There is a primary school, pharmacy, two small food shops, a Resource Centre, a lovely hotel just outside the village and a rousing river flowing thru, dividing the village in half. The Parkinsilla Resort and Golf course is also just outside the village and a great attraction for visitors. Also, lots of great pubs and really good restaurants and cafes make for a very interesting, friendly village. The larger town of Kenmare is about 30 miles away and Killarney about 40, thru the most spectacular mountains you will ever see in ireland. The closest airport is outside Tralee and there is also one near Cork. You have the peace and serenity of the countryside, views, the sea, and the mountains and not too far away, towns and other amenities. Beautiful place to enjoy living.
