The existing structure played a pivotal role in shaping the interior design concept for The Farm, while the memories of the house and the island served as the guiding inspiration. The house symbolises the layers of the island's rich history, bridging the gap between the past and the present. Thus, the interior design concept draws inspiration from the diverse layers observed on the island, from its volcanic foundations to the verdant vegetation that stretches towards the sky. The three distinct atmospheres created within the building mirror this progression. On the ground floor, a volcanic and intimate ambience, adorned with textures and bathed in soft, subtle lighting, sets a sculptural tone. The first floor embraces the poetry of 19th-century country houses, exuding an elegance that harmonises with the surrounding nature. Finally, on the second floor, a homage to the vibrant Azorean houses of yesteryear emerges, bursting with a kaleidoscope of colours and unabashed contrasts, embodying freedom of expression and dreams. The common areas are centred on the ground floor, with the reception, lobby, bar and TV room giving access to the outside, while on the first floor, there is the restaurant and access to the garden. The rooms are organised into three hierarchies – premium, deluxe and standard – distributed across multiple floors, each with its own unique layout and charm.
