El Toro is a village in the southwest of the Balearic island of Mallorca and belongs to the municipality of Calvià. The village is located next to the golf course Santa Ponsa II, the new housing estate Nova Santa Ponsa in the north and Son Ferrer in the east. The commercial area of El Toro is located in the Paseo Calvià, which is known as the green lung of the city. El Toro is grouped around an elongated bay surrounded by steep cliffs, from which there is a clear view of the island of Illa Malgrats. Surrounded by reddish sandstone cliffs with beautiful clean water lies the sandy beach Platja el Toro. The golden yellow beach slopes gently into the sea. There are public toilets and showers and a small restaurant nearby, but no umbrellas or sunbeds. The port of the village of El Toro is right next door. The distance to the island's capital Palma is about 18 kilometers.
