Amazing value for money!  If your dream in Spain is to immerse yourself into the local culture and breath in the fresh country air every morning, maybe a swim in the nearby natural springs and relax at the Spanish bar for a beer or coffee and tapa then you need to look no further with this beautiful village house.We are delighted to offer for sale this typically Spanish village residence in the heart of the village of Purchena (officially a "city" if we are splitting hairs, but in terms of size and relevance it is best described as a large village). Purchena is situated in the Province of Almeria and is surrounded by natural beauty.  The village itself has a whole host of amenities which mean you literally do not have to leave to get your daily supplies.  The village offers schools for children of all ages, general stores, fishmonger, panaderia, medical centre, farmacia, ferreteria (hardware store), 5 bars all serving delicious tapas, weekly market, library, hair salon, banks, sports ground, municipal swimming pool, arts centres - the list goes on.  There are various classes available to join (some for free) such as Spanish lessons, yoga etc.  It is not uncommon to find little old Spanish ladies (and men), sitting outside their front doors of an evening catching up on the days events!You will be spoiled for choice for outdoor pursuits with this location with guided walks into the Forest, there is a via verde track and the area is perfect for leisure walking, or hiking if you fancy something a little more strenuous!   Balsa de Cela is the local natural Springs, situated only 15 minutes away and Lake Negratin, one of Europes's largest lakes is only an hour away.  The stunning historical city of Granada, and the slopes of Sierra Nevada are less than 2 hours drive.  This really is an idyllic spot to be based to explore this eclectic part of Southern Spain.In terms of location and value for money, you will struggle to find anything like this village house we are offering for sale.  It is centrally located in a pretty street and offers a huge 186m2 of living space that is configured in such as a way as to maximise the space so that all areas and rooms are practical.  The property has been refurbished so you just have to turn the key and move in!  The cottage is suitable as a tranquil holiday retreat, or equally as permanent living for a couple or large family.  The arrangement is such, that you can even create two totally different living and sleeping areas if you are looking for a place to accommodate friends or family and give them their own private space.The property is a double fronted cottage which gives it bags of kerb appeal.  On the ground floor of the property, you enter through the front entrance door into a full width living room/dining room, which is a very large room and has an attractive red ceramic pellet burner.  A door leads into an inner hall which is a space large enough to be a library or STUDY, and is wrapped around by a dog leg marble staircase.  Off the inner hall, you will find a large shower room with double walk in shower, a utility/storage room/workshop which also houses the boiler for the hot water.  The breakfast kitchen is very well equipped with ample wall and base units, white goods, breakfast bar, and a living area which has a wood burner.  On the ground floor is also a room which could be used as a double bedroom/storage room/additional reception room/family room.The first floor offers a very large, light and airy landing with double French doors at one end with small balcony.  This area has loads of space and would look lovely with a sofa bed and used as an occasional "put me up room" or a SNUG.We have 4 double bedroomS on this floor and a shower room with new shower cubicle.  From one of these bedrooms is a door to a further storage area/man cave, and stairs to the 2nd FLOOR.  Up here there is a large covered ROOM which could very easily and inexpensively be made into a large upstairs terrace by removing the roof.  There is a lovely typically Spanish roof terrace for sitting and relaxing and another upstairs room which has the possibility to be an outdoor kitchen.As you can see, the cottage presents itself as a beautiful, spacious and stylish property with plenty of accommodation, but still offering opportunities for those who wish to try out their flair and creativity with the additional rooms available.Viewing is highly recommended to see not only the cottage, but the area and what it has to offer.
