Designed by Tony Southgate and David Wass, the last of the DN8’s to be built. The Ford Cosworth V8 and Hewland gearbox were bolted directly to a narrow Aluminium monocoque. Chassis 6 was first seen at the 1977 US Grand Prix driven by Jean-Pierre Jarier starting at 16th on the grid and finishing 9th. Seen again at the Canadian Grand Prix driven by Riccardo Patrese, starting 8th and retiring after an accident.
