This lovely stone-built farmhouse (80 sq. m.) is just 9 km from Orvieto and near to the village of Canale. It is surrounded by 26,000 sq. m. of land including an olive grove of approximately 2,500 sq. m. The farmhouse has several characteristic features, including a staircase in the local peperino stone, with wrought iron handrails and an arch featuring tuff stone. The building, started in 1290, is one of the greatest masterpieces of Italian Romanesque and Gothic art, with its wonderful facade decorated with bas-reliefs and sculptures, the rose window, the mosaics and the bronze statues, moving inside are the superb frescoes of Beato Angelico and Benozzo Gozzoli in the Chapel of San Brizio.
