Designed by Guy Buckingham and Micheal Martin, Chassis 22 (the 89 car) and this chassis 27 (the 90 car) were the first Formula Junior cars to be built and raced in Australia in 1960. Both cars were raced regularly by Nota Engineering, Howard Brothers and Joe Boswell at Warwick Farm, Oran Park, Bathhurst and Katoombe until 14th October 1962. A contiuous history of ownership is recorded. Amazingly both cars have survived and are still racing regularly with the 89 car with John Medley in Australia and this the 90 car in Europe and UK with Mark Haynes. The last race was at Goodwood Revival in September finishing 14th out of 30 front engined Formula Junior starters. ( Driven by a overweight, physically challenged 74 year old) The car is fitted with a 1100cc Swiftune BMC engine, mated to a uprated Morris Minor gearbox coupled to a BMC solid back axle. The car is ready for the 2022 season and runs in F/J class B2 HTP papers are valid to 31/12/2026 The Nota is ideal for someone wishing to run their own car.
