Van Diemen RF80 Chassis No.00287 from 1980. This was a good year for Van Diemen in the BRSCC Formula Ford 1600 Championship. Brazilian drivers Roberto Moreno and Raul Boesel won 13 out of 14 races and finished one and two in the standings with Jonathan Palmer, also driving a Van Diemen, taking third. Moreno went on to win the Formula Ford Festival in October followed by Tommy Byrne, also driving a Van Diemen. This car took Cam Jackson to his HSCC Classic Formula Ford championship win in 2020 and 41 years after his BRSCC Championship win, Roberto Moreno, the F1 and Indycar legend accepted an invitation from Jonathan Lewis, his original team manager from the 1980 FF Festival win, to return to the UK and compete in this car at the 2021 Formula Ford Festival.
