Having good transport links has made the town of Fuengirola a popular commuter town which reflects in the increased number of residents and tourists in recent times. The Paseo Maritimo (promenade) virtually runs along the length of the resort and has been improved and developed considerably in the past few years. Many of the front line hotels, apartment blocks, bars and restaurants of many nationalities can be found along this route.
