On the right of the entrance tower you can see the northern wall of a castle building, where it is evident the ancient guard path with the lowered arch openings, similar to those of the castle of Casalgiate and Ponzana. Below, an authentic terracotta cordon marks the beginning of the scarp of the wall, which descended towards the ditch; at mid-height a series of small windows - very similar to those visible on the northern side of the castle of Cameriano - gave light to the ancient rooms of the second floor. The large terracotta windows are difficult to date, but seem to be of fairly recent manufacture. The construction probably dates back to the middle of the 14th century. The castrum must have been very large, and it is still marked by the wall that encloses the buildings and the vast park; of the ancient castrum almost nothing has remained except for a series of rustic houses on the eastern side, which may date back to the sixteenth century. Instead, to the north, just in front of the current access gate, there are some important remains of the fortress, documented in the fifteenth century.
