Located at the foot of Mount Randa, the town has excellent access to the motorway and is very close to both the Son Sant Joan international airport and the city of Palma. it is close to several of the major hotel complexes and is surrounded by farmland and charming rural corners, with fabulous forest and mountain views. Llucmajor has several buildings of historical interest, a testament to its rich and varied heritage. Some of the most notable are: the town hall, in the Plaza de Espana, the church of San Miguel, from the 18th century, in the Plaza de Santa Catalina Tomas, the baroque convent of Sant Bonaventure, the monument to the shoemakers at the western gate from the town and the monument to Jaime iii, on Paseo Jaume iii.
