Island Time was built in the early 80s and its design is the collaborative effort between the owners and two local architects. The house comprises five separate bedroom suites connected to a communal point, the Great Room via a system of passages that meanders around the giant boulders. The villa has been built using traditional island style architecture: white walls, wood-beamed cathedral ceilings, dark Brazilian wood floors and wardrobes, Casablanca fans. Each bathroom features limestone tiling, modern plumbing and ceramic wash stands. Surrounded on three sides by a natural stone patio and swimming pool, the Great Room offers captivating views over Sir Frances Drake Channel, a shaded arbour for lounging and a BBQ area for entertaning. This open and airy room is a living room, dining room, games room and library with a well-equipped kitchen. Three sides of the walls comprise tall wood glass doors and towering windows. Giant wooden beams support the enormous cathedral ceiling. The floors are cool stone. Steps at the side of the Great Room lead to the observatory which functions also as an office. Each guest villa has an ensuite bathroom and its own private patio and verandah. The High Noon master bedroom suite rests atop a giant granite boulder and overlooks the Sir Francis Drake Channel from its two private balconies. It boasts a spectacular stone master bath and a dressing room. The "Sundance Room" the next largest bedroom also has a kitchenette and recreation room.
