The semi detached house is one of only two that were built and was finished to a very high standard throughout the 89.01 square meters (958 square feet) of superbly proportioned accommodation. It lies a little north of the Mar Menor and is within easy reach of several well known resorts at the southern end of the Costa Blanca, such as Torrevieja, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Campoamor, Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima. It is a well known tourist resort with a great variety of excellent amenities and attractions, not least being the several Blue Flag beaches. The local services include a medical centre, supermarkets, shops and commercial facilities. Around the two main squares, there are excellent bars, cafes and restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets. The town also boasts a marina with over 500 moorings. There is also the recently opened leisure centre, Lo Monte, which has three swimming pools, a gym, a spa and a bar and restaurant serving local delicacies and international cuisine. Several good golf course are readily accessible, including Las Ramblas, Villamartin, Campoamor, Campoverde and Lo Romero. Diving and snorkeling are also popular and rewarding pastimes, due to the crystal clear waters that are a feature of this coastline and the great sand banks that incorporate fascinating rock formations which are home to a huge variety of marine life. One notable feature of the town is the sixteenth century watch tower, one of several built by King Philip II as protection against pirates, who were a major problem in those days. The tower has been renovated and is registered within Spain's Historical Heritage as a monument of cultural significance. The property is situated some 10 miles from Murcia (St Javier) International Airport. Torre de la Horadada is also served by frequent local and long distance buses.
