Job Description Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership Occupational Therapist - 2 posts East Neighbourhood Centre Salary: £32,123 - £38,340 (pro-rata for part-time) Hours: 1 x full time 36 hours, 1 x part time 18 hours The Role of Community Occupational is to assess individuals in their own home to help maintain independence in all aspects of their life. This will include: - * Assessing for and arranging adaptation to the environment and provision of compensatory equipment. * Assessing for eligible support requirements, preparing person centred support plan’s and carrying out support plan review. * Following the three conversations approach when working with our citizens * Joint working with other health professionals and partner providers including; Social Workers, Community Health Care Professionals, Care at Home Providers, Voluntary Providers and Colleagues in acute hospitals to ensure the right person provides the right care at the right time. The post is based in the Responder Team , and the work includes assessing for specialist equipment, major adaptation to property and care management for the people we support. Its a a busy, friendly , supportive environment, the post is based in the East Locality covering the Portobello, Craigmillar, Magdalene, Northfield, Marionville, Lochend, Craigentinny Leith and Willowbrae areas of Edinburgh. Candidate will have a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
